What is Sarvangasana?

Sarvangasana is one of the advanced approaches to yoga packed with many health benefits like Salabhasana and many others. It is an attitude of total body training. This is often called omkarasana. The definition of Sarvangasana is the complete package pose. This is included in the asanas that provide multiple benefits for our body and mind. When we do this yoga exercise, it reduces various problems like heart blockage, thrombus formation, arthritis pain, etc. These are due to the practice of yoga regularly.

Sarvangasana dramatically impacts the nervous system, preventing mental disorders like depression or anxiety attacks as observed with Sirsasana. How to do Sarvangasana?  

The yogi stands straight at the top of the yoga mat facing the front and holds their feet firmly together like you do in Dhanurasana .

The yogi then inhales and jumps over his head, placing both of his hands on the floor beside his ears while looking up. The yogi should make sure their head is below their heart while in this pose; otherwise, it can cause some problems to the neck or back. It is also not advisable for pregnant women to try these advanced yoga poses during pregnancy. 

What are the benefits of Sarvangasana?

There are several benefits that a person gets from challenging yoga exercises like Sarvangasana, which include: strengthening your lungs, thyroid gland, and abdominal organs, providing natural massage to your heart and brain, etc.,
